Care Assure provides NDIS Supported Independent Living across Tasmania. Our SIL homes are in Greater Hobart, and we operate disability housing statewide, from the south to the Launceston region. Every home has registered nurse oversight of the care plan.
SIL Across Tasmania
Supported Independent Living is NDIS funding for the support workers who help you live day to day. It pays for the people, not the house. Across Tasmania, Care Assure delivers SIL in our homes in the greater Hobart area, and provides daily support in Care Casa SDA housing in both the south and the north of the state.
Tasmania has few registered SIL providers. That makes provider choice tight, and it makes early contact worthwhile. We would rather have an honest conversation about timelines now than leave you waiting for a vacancy months away.
Where We Provide SIL and Housing in Tasmania
Care Assure runs three Supported Independent Living homes across Greater Hobart. Each has a registered nurse overseeing care plans and trained support workers on shift.
- Greater Hobart — SIL homes: Our Supported Independent Living homes are in Glenorchy, Kingston, and Moonah. Each has a registered nurse overseeing care plans and support workers on shift around the clock.
- Northern Tasmania — SDA housing: In the Launceston region, SDA housing including High Physical Support homes, is provided by Care Casa, our SDA provider partner. Care Assure delivers the daily support inside them, so housing and support are arranged together rather than separately.

How to Get Started in Tasmania
Moving into an SDA home takes four steps, from confirming your funding to moving in. Care Assure guides you through each stage and can support your NDIS evidence and plan review.
Confirm your NDIS plan includes SIL or SDA. Your plan manager or support coordinator can check quickly.
