Our NDIS Services Across South Australia and Tasmania
Care Assure provides the following NDIS-funded services to participants in SA and TAS:
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
NDIS-funded support workers who help you live independently in a shared or individual home. Our registered nurse writes and monitors every care plan.
Short-term Accommodation (STA)
Respite stays for NDIS participants needing temporary supported accommodation. Available at multiple Care Assure locations.
Medium-term Accommodation (MTA)
Supported accommodation for up to 90 days for participants transitioning between care settings or waiting for permanent housing.
In-home Care & Daily Support
Personalised daily living assistance delivered in your home. Meal preparation, personal care, medication support, and community access.
Complex Care Support
For participants with complex health needs, we deliver high intensity clinical support under a registered nurse care plan, so specialist care happens safely.

- Am I eligible for NDIS?
To be eligible for the NDIS, you must be under 65 years of age, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent disability that substantially reduces your ability to participate in everyday life. The NDIA assesses your eligibility based on how your disability affects your daily functioning.
- What is the difference between registered and unregistered NDIS providers?
A registered NDIS provider has been audited and approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission to meet specific practice standards. An unregistered provider has not. For services like SIL and SDA, you must use a registered provider. For some other services, you can choose an unregistered provider if you self-manage your plan.
- How do I choose an NDIS provider?
Look for a registered provider with experience in your specific support needs, who operates in your area, employs qualified staff, can show you their care plan process, and has genuine participant reviews. Ask whether they have a registered nurse overseeing care, what their incident reporting process is, and how they handle plan changes.
- What types of support does NDIS funding cover?
NDIS funding is split into three budgets: Core Supports (daily living, SIL, respite and community access), Capacity Building Supports (skills, relationships and independence) and Capital Supports (assistive technology and SDA housing). Care Assure delivers Core Supports and selected Capacity Building supports. SDA homes are provided by Care Casa, our SDA provider partner.
- Can I use Care Assure alongside my current provider?
Yes. NDIS participants can use multiple providers for different support types. For example, you might use Care Assure for SIL while retaining another provider for community access or plan management. Your support coordinator can help you manage multiple providers within your plan.
- What happens if I need to cancel my services?
Care Assure has a service agreement that outlines notice periods and cancellation terms in line with NDIS guidelines. You retain the right to change providers at any time. If you want to move to a different SIL home or provider, we work cooperatively with your support coordinator to manage the transition.
- Can I choose my own NDIS provider?
Yes. You choose which providers deliver the supports in your plan, and you can change provider at any time by following the notice period in your service agreement. If your plan is agency managed, the provider must be NDIS registered.
- How do I check that an NDIS provider is registered?
Search the provider's name or ABN on the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission provider register. It lists the provider's registration groups, the states it operates in and the date its registration is in force until.
