NDIS Disability Support Services in Launceston
Care Assure is a registered NDIS provider delivering Supported Independent Living across Launceston and northern Tasmania, alongside respite, in-home care, community participation and complex care.

Local NDIS Support Across Launceston
Picking an NDIS provider in Launceston should come down to who actually knows the place, not who has the biggest ad budget. Care Assure supports participants in the Launceston area, including in Care Casa SDA homes at St Leonards and Prospect Vale, with support extending across Youngtown, Riverside, Ravenswood, Blackstone Heights and the rest of Greater Launceston, with support extending across Youngtown, Riverside, Ravenswood, Blackstone Heights, Rocherlea and the rest of Greater Launceston. That's local knowledge backed by properties, not a map with a big circle drawn on it. Every participant's plan is built around their own goals and reviewed as those goals, or needs, change.
SIL and SDA: What's the Difference?
These two get mixed up constantly, wasting people's time. Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funds the home itself, a purpose-built or modified property for people with very high support needs. Supported Independent Living (SIL) funds the people, the support workers who help with daily living, whether that's inside an SDA home or any other. Your NDIS plan might fund one, the other, or both, and Care Assure provides both across Launceston.

Our NDIS Support Services in Launceston
Care Assure delivers the full range of NDIS supports across Launceston and northern Tasmania, from daily help at home to purpose-built accommodation and nurse-governed clinical care. Your plan determines which of these you can access, and we will honestly tell you which ones it funds.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Our Launceston SIL team helps you live as independently as your goals allow, in a shared home or on your own. Support covers personal care, medication, meals, household routines and building everyday living skills. Funded through Core Supports, with hours that flex as your needs change.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Purpose-built housing for participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. Our Launceston-area homes span the High Physical Support and Robust design categories. SDA is funded through Capital Supports, separate from the daily support SIL pays for, and the two often run together.
Respite Care and Short-Term Accommodation
A proper break matters, for participants and for whoever supports them day to day. Our Launceston respite is a fully supported short-stay away from home, with accommodation, personal care, meals, and activities included. Funded through Short Term Accommodation, with MTA for longer transitions.
In-Home Disability Care
We support you in your own Launceston home rather than asking you to come to us. That covers personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, community access and companionship, with overnight assistance where your plan funds it. Funded through Core Supports, so you stay in your own community.
NDIS Community Participation
Staying connected shows up in most people's NDIS goals for a reason. We support you in joining a social group, volunteering, learning something new, attending local events, or building the confidence to get out more often across Launceston. Funded through Core Supports or Capacity Building.
Complex Care and High Intensity Support
Nurse-governed clinical support for participants with complex health needs. Covers ventilation and tracheostomy care, enteral feeding, dysphagia management, catheter and stoma care, injections, and support for epilepsy, diabetes and palliative needs. Funded through High Intensity Daily Personal Activities.
Hospital Discharge Support
Leaving the hospital shouldn't mean waiting for support to catch up. We work with Launceston General Hospital, families and allied health teams to arrange accommodation, equipment and daily supports before discharge day. Commonly funded through Medium Term Accommodation until longer-term supports are confirmed.

Not Sure If You're Eligible?
NDIS funding rules aren't exactly light reading, whether you already have a plan, you're waiting on one, or you're still working out if you qualify at all. Talk to our team, no obligation, and we'll help you work out which categories apply to you, Core Supports, Capacity Building or Capital, and match that to what's actually available in Launceston.
A Registered NDIS Provider You Can Trust
Care Assure is a registered NDIS provider, audited against the NDIS Practice Standards and answerable to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Registration isn't universal in this industry, and for a lot of families deciding who to trust, that gap matters.
It matters more from 1 July 2026, when every provider delivering SIL supports has to be registered and meet the new SIL Practice Standards. Care Assure already meets them, so nothing changes for participants already with us. If you're currently with an unregistered provider, it's worth asking them directly whether they're on track to register before the deadline.
