Specialist Disability Accommodation is NDIS-funded housing for participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs, funded under the Capital Supports budget. It is purpose-built or fully modified to a national design standard, not standard housing with minor changes.

SDA Housing Only- How Support Works
SDA funds the home. It does not fund the support workers who help you inside it. Care Assure's Adelaide SDA properties are housing, and daily support is arranged separately, so it helps to understand how the two fit together before you apply.
If you need daily living assistance in your SDA home, that support is funded through Supported Independent Living or your Core Supports budget. Care Assure can provide that support or you can use another provider. Our team explains exactly what each home includes so there are no surprises after you move in.
SDA Design Categories in Adelaide
Every SDA home is built to one of four NDIS design categories, and the category funded in your plan determines which homes you can move into. Care Assure operates all four across Adelaide.

How to Apply for SDA in Adelaide
Moving into an SDA home takes four steps, from confirming your funding to moving in. Care Assure guides you through each stage and can support your NDIS evidence and plan review.
Confirm your NDIS plan includes SDA under Capital Supports, and which design category is approved.
