Disability Community Support from Care Assure assists NDIS participants in engaging in social, recreational, and community activities. Core Supports covers travel and participation assistance, ensuring individuals can connect with their community in a safe and supportive environment while working towards their personal goals.
Care Assure offers NDIS household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to assist with daily living and social engagement. The program promotes social connections and skill development through group activities such as cooking, arts, and outdoor events. Moreover, they provide personal care, community participation, dressing, bathing, mobility, and medication management.
NDIS Consumables services provided by Care Assure include continence aids, diabetic management tools, dysphagia supports, epilepsy aids, nutrition supplements, podiatry care, respiratory equipment, and wound care products. Their services include assisting participants to choose the right consumables, providing in-home support, and connecting them with trusted service providers locally and regionally.
The NDIS Transport Funding Services offered by Care Assure provide customised transportation solutions, covering access taxis, rideshares, community buses, and other suitable methods, to assist people with disabilities in travelling to work, school, and community activities. They also offer in-home care support and extend services throughout Australia.

- How can I manage overspending or underspending in my NDIS Core Support plan?
To avoid overspending or underspending, track your spending regularly and ensure your plan accurately reflects your support needs. Most plan managers provide monthly statements; you can use the NDIS app if you self-manage. You can also negotiate provider rates within price limits. If you’re at risk of overspending, request a plan review early, as changes take time. If you’re underspending, consider adding support to maximise your budget and prevent reductions in future plans.
- How does NDIS fund Disability Community Support?
Support is funded under Core Supports (Assistance with Social & Community Participation) or Capacity Building (Increased Social & Community Participation).
- Who provides NDIS Household Tasks support?
Trained NDIS support workers assist based on individual needs and preferences.
- How much can I spend on NDIS consumables?
The NDIS will fund consumables up to $1,500, but only for supports that are considered "reasonable and necessary."
- How does the NDIS calculate funding allowance for continence consumables?
The NDIS calculates funding for continence consumables by comparing your needs on a per-day basis. This involves determining whether the consumable is appropriate for you and worth the money.
- What types of activity-based transport are covered under NDIS?
Funding can be used to access taxis, community buses, rideshares, and other suitable transport options.
- How much funding do you get for the NDIS Transport?
There are 3 levels of NDIS transportation funding:
Level 1 – Participants who are not working, studying or attending day programs but wish to enhance their community access will receive up to$1,784 per year.
Level 2 – Participants who are currently working, studying part-time, or participating in day programs and other activities will receive up to $2,676 per year.
Level 3 – Participants who are currently working, looking for work, or studying at least 15 hours a week and cannot use public transport will receive up to $3,456 per year.- Who can access NDIS Group Activities?
Participants with NDIS Capacity Building funding under "Improved Daily Living" can access these activities.
- What’s not covered in NDIS Assistance with Daily Life?
The aim is to maximise participants' independence and help them quickly achieve their goals. However, there are certain items that NDIS does not cover, such as:
- Food or ready-made meals (including delivered meals)
- Household items such as cleaning supplies
- Personal items not related to your disability (i.e. toiletries or cosmetics)
- Rent, board or mortgage payments
- Tickets for events, concerts, movies etc.
- Who can receive personal care support under the NDIS?
NDIS participants who need help managing personal hygiene and daily activities due to their disability can access this support.
