Our focus is on eliminating the barriers that restrict individuals living with a disability, to leading a meaningful life. Care Assure head office is based in Adelaide, with offices in regional SA including Port Augusta, Whyalla and Mt Gambier.

We are seeking casual or permanent Disability Support Workers for our In-Home & Supported Accommodation in Adelaide and surrounds, primarily for our female participants. We have participants requiring and deserving of experienced and professional support workers to deliver the highest levels of support and care available.

Importantly, disability support is what you want to do. You will be passionate about working with people with a disability, you will engage positively and with meaning with our participants during your time with them and be caring with a big heart. Your focus is about the care and support you give to our participants.

It is critical that you have a good command and understanding of the English language, written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

  • Driven, passionate and dedicated to delivering effective supports to people with disabilities.
  • Emotionally intelligent and an ability to respond to participants ever-changing needs.
  • Ability to calmly perform in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Looking to establish yourself within an organisation to grow.
  • Teamwork orientated.
  • Able to work across a 24/7 roster including passive & active sleepovers.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Disability Services, or equivalent to Community Services
  • NDIS Workers Screening Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Driver’s License that allows you to drive in South Australia
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Medication Certificate
  • Manual Handling Training and Certificate
  • Right to work in Australia
  • National Police Check (within last 3 years)
